It’s not easy for me to admit that I might be wrong about a lot of things, but it shouldn’t be. We revere the church fathers of old, while admitting that we no longer hold to all of their beliefs. I certainly don’t think I’m smarter than those guys, so I’m faced with the certainty that I’m probably wrong about plenty of things. That’s sort of disturbing.
Eventually, this burden becomes freeing. I don’t need to have all of the answers. No one has everything figured out, so I’ll just do my best and devote myself to Jesus and His teachings until it’s all clear. And I’ll try to get along with people who disagree with me, since we’re probably all making some mistakes.
(I’ve been trying to figure who made that comic, but it’s not easy. All I can tell is that it’s from someone named “Saji.” Other bloggers are equally unsure. I’ve taken it from Fundamentally Reformed.)
